Now you've got me started on a rant. Here's the deal. It's a crime for a cabbie to not give you your change, or at least it should be. It doesn't matter that Mr. Kane probably has far more money than the cab driver. The fact of the matter is that you've been taken into this vehicle where you'll be required to pay at the end. If he can't give you change then he has to take the hit. Not you.
If you go into a department store and they don't have change for you, what happens? They give you more than you're due, or you don't buy the product there. But in a cab, they've already given you the product, so you can't decide to not pay the fee afterward.
So why isn't the cabbie losing his license? Or at least being fine? Let's get with the program people.
And I never said it was okay to punch someone. But the cabbie is at least as at fault, he simply should have given over more change than was due.
Now if you're a cab rider and don't want to get short-changed, don't ride with this loser.
